PKG,

Please post in the correct section - "Developer Chat" is not for general support questions. ;)

As to your problem, you need to set the OnEvent call to the item, not the menu: ;)

#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>

Opt("GUIOnEventMode", 1)

$hGUI = GUICreate("Test", 500, 500)
GUISetOnEvent($GUI_EVENT_CLOSE, "_Exit")

$HelpMenu = GUICtrlCreateMenu("&Help")
$TipsMenu = GUICtrlCreateMenuItem("T&ips", $HelpMenu)
GUICtrlSetOnEvent($TipsMenu, "AppTips") ; <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
GUISetState()

While 1
    Sleep(10)
WEnd

Func AppTips()
    MsgBox(0, "aaa", "dfghjkl")
 EndFunc   ;==>AppOption

Func _Exit()
    Exit
EndFunc

All clear? :)
