Return value

Hey Folks,

Im trying to Return <0 in a function(including the < sign)

Anyone know how I could do that? Ive tried the following

local $error_code1 == <0

Return ($error_code1)
 
Return (<0) ;;;; no luck
 
Return ({<}0) ;;;no luck
 
;; Even tried Const and Byref = <0 but still no luck

This has no sense, it's not a number but a logical operator.

What do you want to compare with this?

Basically Ive a list of possible error codes as below. I have a function that runs and does some things. At the end I want it to return <0(distinctive error).

As in <0 is not to be used.

I run a function called Test_Assert.

I want the <0 value to take-on the else part.

;List of $iCode possibilities:
; 0 == success
; >0 success, but there are some strange things noticed....
; For example, 1 is timeout reached
; <0 distinctive error
; -1 - fatal error
 
If (Test_Assert() = 0) Then
            ACRAOutputinfo("No Error detected")
        Else ; return <0 do this...
            ACRAOutputerror("Assert Error dected")
        Endif

Maybe try this :

 

if yolo() = "<0" Then MsgBox(0, ""," Hey fella there is an error !")


Func yolo()
    return "<0"
EndFunc
