LarryBeattie
This weekend, I want to start learing autoit or autohotkey. The caveat is that at the end of the month, I want to try my hand with Python. From what I have been reading autoit would be the better beginning as I have no experiene with programming (well a little basic 30 years ago but I don't count that anymore). Or other suggestions? Moderators Melba23 Posted June 28, 2013 Moderators Share Posted June 28, 2013 LarryBeattie,Welcome to the AutoIt forum. Reading the Help file (at least the first few sections - Using AutoIt, Tutorials and the first couple of References) will help you enormously. You should also look at this excellent tutorial - you will find other tutorials in the Wiki (the link is at the top of the page). There are even video tutorials on YouTube if you prefer watching to reading.I think learning AutoIt in a month is a bit optimistic - but good luck. water
Have a look at Rosettacode. You get code to solve a problem in many, many languages. You can get a first impression how "easy" a language is.
