How to show Status?

Hi there,

is it possible to show a status from a running prog, registry entry, existing files or whatever in a GUI? For example, if something exist or run then status is "green" else "red".

What are you going to use to display the status of each item? It depends on this what we suggest to you.

Maybe a progress window is what you are looking for? See functions ProgressOn, ProgressOff and ProgressSet.

Can you please elaborate on what your script does?

Do you want to show the progress of your script or the status of another program (like an installer etc.)?

What do you mean by "a running prog"?

If you use a label, you can just change the color of it with GUICtrlSetColor or GUICtrlSetBkColor. If you use icons, you'll need 2 for each status, one red and one green. You can reuse the icon files for every one of them if you're going to want to have a consistent look, then switch between them.

But how to check (before set) whether it it run or not.

Checking if it's already running can be done with ProcessExists, checking whether it ran when you started it can be done by checking the return codes from either ShelllExecute or Run.
