Debugging: consolewrite vs msgbox

Dear People,

A simple question from a simple person.

My debugger normally kicks out the error and line in the console. But when I run the same file on another machine, I get the error in a msgbox. And this doesnt help at all as no line number is passed.

How do I ensure I get the default debugging in the console?

When you say on "another machine", are you still running it uncompiled? Are the AutoIt versions the same on both? Perhaps you could provide a reproducer so we can see what you're seeing.

I think I know what you are talking about.

In the custom SciTE for AutoIt, if you go to the tools menu there are debugging options for "Debug to console" and "Debug to MsgBox". Is that what you are using?

EDIT: customer SciTE for AutoIT (this is what happens when you stop drinking coffee)

But "Debug to console" will always write the output to the Console and "Debug to MsgBox" always to a MsgBox.
