_ArraySort(ByRef $avArray [, $iDescending = 0 [, $iStart = 0 [, $iEnd = 0 [, $iSubItem = 0]]]])


Parameters
$avArray Array to sort 
$iDescending [optional] If set to 1, sort descendingly 
$iStart [optional] Index of array to start sorting at 
$iEnd [optional] Index of array to stop sorting at 
$iSubItem [optional] Sub-index to sort on in 2D arrays 

Return Value
Success: 1 
Failure: 0, sets @error: 
@error: 1 - $avArray is not an array 
 2 - $iStart is greater than $iEnd 
 3 - $iSubItem is greater than subitem count 
 4 - $avArray has too many dimensions

this helpfile is correct. the return value is not the sorted array.

Return values of SetError() and SetExtended() should be docummented as undefined for cases when return value parameter is omitted. That's the whole thing and probably it's the most correct. Documenti

I'm just going by the msdn documentation but It would not be the first time I've got that wrong.

Not going to clog the thread up with a discussion about it. I'm sure Yashied will clear it up.

EDIT:

 

try to use this

$PID=_WinAPI_GetWindowThreadProcessId()

$PID is not the process id

 

And it does not claim to be, It's the thread ID.

The help file is correct.If you want the PID you have to use the "by reference" parameter. I could add an additional note for those who don't quite understand, but it's not an issue.

i agree now the helpfile is not wrong on the PID issue. maybe misleading, but not wrong.i was wrong.

it confused me that

_WinAPI_GetWindowThreadProcessId

 

means:

WindowThread AND ProcessId

 

not one value, but two. maybe it would be a suggestion to return the entire array, and explain that array[0] is the window thread and array[2] the process id ? so they are equal.

E.  just a suggestion.

Sorry, being nit picky.  The description for pragma states, "A special directive for controlling aspects of how the script runs."  It seems like it really only controls how the script is compiled instead.  Or am I wrong?
