RickB75
I'm just curious guys, I have MS Office Starter Edition and it has Excel Starter Edition 2010 included. Autoit won't open up Excel for me using ExcelBookNew. I opened the script that's in the help file and used that script and it won't open up Excel. Am I missing something??? This is my home PC that I'm using. My PC at work opens up fine. It has the full version of MS Office 2007 installed on it. Do I need to buy and install the complete version of Excel 2010 and put it on my home PC for it to work? I'm using Autoit version v3.3.8.1 Edited August 26, 2013 by RickB75
dragan
I believe It's available in the Standard or Premium editions of MS Office, but not in Starter.'?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>
RickB75
That's what I was thinking the problem was(Not having a full edition of MS Office). I guess I will start looking to download it to my home PC. Do you have Excel 2010 on your pc? Does Autoit work ok with it(2010 version)?

RickB75
Cool. That's what I'll look and get installed. Thanks again Dragan!
water
Do I need to buy and install the complete version of Excel 2010 and put it on my home PC for it to work? Correct. The trial and starter editions come without COM support. That's why the example scripts don't work. Make sure to uninstall the starter version and then install the full product to make everything work. If you see problems with the Excel UDF that comes with AutoIt (because it doesn't support the "new" file formats xlsx etc.) you could have a look at my Rewrite fo the Excel UDF.
