thiagocavila
Hello, I'm new to AutoIt and I've read all documentation to it and got a problem I didn't find solution in this forum. I am trying to write on the first input field of a Swing GUI when the window is not active. To debug my handle I am using PsaltyDS's snippet: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> Here you can see my code: WinWait("Display BDoc Messages","") Sleep(200) ; RAW Send $hWin = WinGetHandle("[Title:Display BDoc Messages]", "") If IsHWnd($hWin) Then ConsoleWrite("Debug: $hWin = " & $hWin & @LF) $hCtrl = ControlGetHandle($hWin, "", 100) If IsHWnd($hCtrl) Then ConsoleWrite("Debug: $hCtrl = " & $hCtrl & @LF) ControlFocus($hWin, "", $hCtrl) ControlSend($hWin, "", $hCtrl, "hello") ConsoleWrite("Debug: Attempted ControlSend()" & @LF) Else ConsoleWrite("Debug: Error, failed to get control handle." & @LF) EndIf Else ConsoleWrite("Debug: Error, failed to get window handle." & @LF) EndIf In my debug everything is right, but it is not sending anything to the text box: Debug: $hWin = 0x00010472 Debug: $hCtrl = 0x00010488 Debug: Attempted ControlSend() And here is the screen with AutoIt Window Info: I also tried adding a ControlClick before it in the field, but with no sucess. It works perfectly when the window is active. Thanks for any help. Edited September 11, 2013 by thiagocavila

AutID
Try ControlSetText if you want to set a text in a window. I don't know that window but if it is running in admin mode then your script must run in the same mode to be able to handle that window https://iblockify.wordpress.com/

I don't know that window but if it is running in admin mode then your script must run in the same mode to be able to handle that window I tried ControlSetText, same result =(. See code: WinWait("Display BDoc Messages","") Sleep(200) $hWin = WinGetHandle("[Title:Display BDoc Messages]", "") If IsHWnd($hWin) Then $hCtrl = ControlGetHandle($hWin, "", 100) If IsHWnd($hCtrl) Then ConsoleWrite("Debug: $hCtrl = " & $hCtrl & @LF) ControlFocus($hWin, "", $hCtrl) ControlSetText($hWin, "", $hCtrl, "hello") ; ControlSend($hWin, "", $hCtrl, "hello") ConsoleWrite("Debug: Attempted ControlSetText()" & @LF) EndIf EndIf And also, I am running both in non admin mode. But I also tried both in admin, and still doesn't write "hello" in my box.
