crz,

Do you have a GUIGetMsg call in your script? That has a built-in pause which varies according to the system state and could be the reason for the changing speed of update. Perhaps if we saw your code we might be able to offer more help. :)

But before we go any further, I suggest you read the current Forum rules (there is also a link at bottom right of each page). ;)

GUIGetMsg, if you're using it, has a built in 10ms delay if nothing is interacting with the GUI. Once you start moving the mouse around the GUI or interacting in other ways with it, that delay isn't there any longer so the script will react faster.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

crz,

did I do anything wrong?

You did say this in the OP:

so I want to limit it.. maybe for gaming purpose - who knows

crz,

Gaming purpose being creating a game

Then why did you not say so at the beginning - it would have made for a much nicer experience all round. :)

And I am quite "chilled" enough thanks - so please keep your trite advice to yourself in future. ;)

crz,

I have just noticed that you have removed the initial question and deleted all subsequent posts from this thread. Please do not do this again. :naughty:
