Pengbo Posted October 20, 2013 Share Posted October 20, 2013 Hi, Trying to use the CallTip Manager as documented here http://www.autoitscript.com/wiki/Adding_UDFs_to_AutoIt_and_SciTE Problem is when I try to run it as described it keeps asking me if I want to replace a calltip as it has that function already despite it being the first time I have ever run it with the UDF in question. Then when I save things I get an error that crashes the calltip manager. Line 2902 (File "C:Program Files (x86)AutoIt3SciTEConfigSciteConfig.exe"); Error: Variable used without being declared. So I assumed it's something I did wrong and had a search around here and with Google and discovered Melba23 wrote it maybe. So I downloaded the ExtMsgBox.au3 UDF from Melba23's sig figuring if it's me then that UDF has got to work (plus it looked like a UDF I would like to use at some point anyway ). However I get the same errors with that UDF. I have the latest SciTE4AutoIt3 version 3.3.0 (I downloaded it today and installed it) plus the latest version of AutoIt. Anyone got any ideas what is going wrong? BTW once it crashes and I close and open SciTE again one of the 2 functions from the ExtMsgBox.au3 UDF does work and checking the calltips.api file in my profile shows it's there but only 1 function ever shows up can't get both of the 2 available to register. Try downloading the Beta version of SciTEConfig from here and see if that cures the problem. In fact you might want to download and install the whole Beta package from that page as there are a number of improvements.
