Country name

Hello,

How can I get the OS Country offline?
Like reading it out off Kernel32.dll by using LocaleInfo?
I mean @OSLang only gives me the Country ID, but I like to get the english name like "France", "Germany" or "Italy".
How can I do this?

that only gives me numbers. Numbers of locale, country code, language identifier, primary language id and sub-language id...

search the registry for the country you are in now.

mine showed up in WIndows 7 at

But I really like to read it out from the dll. Thats the best way I guess.

Look, this returns me the language:

Not really sure what the difference is at this point. I am in Germany using a window 7 Ultimate that is in American English and the above code gives me:

German.

I am also German.

But it should return the country not the language. So it should return Germany not German.

I mean the country you find in the kernel32.dll here in this API: GetUserDefaultLocaleName

Okay, I was playing around with this but it give a 4 number code you would have to entzifern...

How to decode this Country ID to the actual name?

This returns

Naah, @OSLAng gives us that, he was going for the region (current location)

This brings up the win dialog box but I think he needed a macro return with the country name or so...
