i don't get this error, i have the text exactly as it is in the definition syntax.

The brackets "[ ]" are used a visual representation telling you that the parameter inside them are optional. You don't use the brackets around the parameters when writing the actual function.

ok, then one more thing, do you think you could tell me why this loop will stop but it doesn't start up again???

Which program do you try to automate?

Send isn't very reliable so I'm sure there are better ways to do what you want to do.
