To make sure that my terminology is right, let me explain what I mean by paging. Suppose I want to make a simple "Disk based" (rather than loading the entire file in memory) database program and that I can display only 25 records at a time. I would need to load 25 records at a time plus maybe the 25 previous records and the next 25 records in a buffer, then manage the reading and writing of these chunks of data.
