multiple programs using same script

Hi,

I am a newbie to autoit so I am not sure if this is possible. I am trying to write a single script to start 2-3 separate programs and switch between them.

How can this be done ?

Right now, I run my first program which happens to have multiple windows in it and one window is monitoring some traffic details. As soon as I start another application, the monitoring stops. I want it keep monitoring while the other application runs .

How can I do this ?

No, I am running ethereal to monitor the network traffic. Once it starts monitoring I am trying to run a messenger. I need ethereal to be logging the traffic that the messenger sends out. But when I start the messenger ethereal stops monitoring.

Both of them are started using autoit Run command.

It does not sound as if AutoIt is the cause of Ethereal's failure to capture traffic when your messenger starts. Start them manually and see what happens.

It works fine manually.

I just need to automate the logging of the traffic and the making calls from the messenger.

If I start the programs manually, can I be use autoit to monitor and switch ?

How will the script know whats running ?
