SirDarknight1200 Posted November 23, 2013 Share Posted November 23, 2013 I'm still a noob and now I am going to ask some more nooby questions : 1.Kindly explain the _Singleton, the help file isn't enough detailed(for me) 2.How can I make a script which will create a directory at a place(suppose desktop) in it's first run and everytime it is run it'll check if the directory exists and if it doesn't then it'll create the directory again. 3.How to open a folder using autoit? We might want to use this to prevent our script run more than one instance at a time. 2. If NOT FileExists(@DesktopDir & "\my_folder\") Then DirCreate (@DesktopDir & "\my_folder\") Endif 3. If you try to run the exe again, Windows notices that the flag is the same and refuses to run it.- 2. Something along these lines (not tested):; Define the folder $sPath = Your+Folder+Path ; See if it exists If Not FileExists($sPath) Then ; This function works on folders as well ; Create it if not DirCreate($sPath) EndIf ; And you have your folder either already existing or newly created- 3. To choose a folder, use FileSelectFolder[/]i; to display the contents use ShellExecute("Your_Folder_Path").All clear? If the folder already exists, then the function will fail; just don't test the error return! This wonderful site allows debugging and testing regular expressions (many flavors available).
