Sulfurino
As the title say, i have an variable that i want to store inside a txt document without having to open the txt document. How is this done? Clearly FileWrite will not work since it relies on having to open the txt document.

Sulfurino
Welcome to AutoIt and the forum! To change the content of a file you have to open it. Full stop. water
What you see flashing is an editor or something similar. FileWrite directly writes the specified data to the file without displaying anything on the screen. My bad, i was confused by the name of the function FileOpen i thought it would literally open the file and display its content before you. But it seems to be completly running in the background is that true/false?
