Zohar Posted December 2, 2013 Share Posted December 2, 2013 (edited) Hi Creating a basic HTTP Server in AutoIt is quite easy, and enables you to send commands to your computer, via a mobile phone for example, without installing anything on the mobile phone. (the mobile phone only needs to have a browser on it) My question: Is it also (relatively) simple to write an HTTPS Server in AutoIt? And if yes, does it require me to buy a Certificate or something? or it can be avoided? It could be a self-signed certificate as long as the client is willing to accept/trust it. Don't forget HTTPS is also encrypted data, so you would have to look into the recommendations. This isn't an easy task as you might have first thought. The only "client" is me, from my mobile phone.. So I am willing to accept it This isn't an easy task as you might have first thought. No-one has created a slim, basic implementation for it? This wonderful site allows debugging and testing regular expressions (many flavors available). An absolute must have in your bookmarks.Another excellent RegExp tutorial. So for that purpose, a full blown web server would be too much. As a (possibly irrelevant here) sidenote, a web server can use SQLite as the RDBMS engine, and many websites are setup this way.
