Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted December 3, 2013 Moderators Share Posted December 3, 2013 Did you confirm you are running the BETA, not the latest release version? The Excel rewrite requires it. Moderators Melba23 Posted December 3, 2013 Moderators Share Posted December 3, 2013 Curious52,Looking at the SciTE console output you posted, you are definitely running the 3.3.8.1 production version of AutoIt. As JLogan3o13 pointed out you need the 3.3.9.# Beta version to use the new Excel UDF. Curious52
Might be I misunderstood the suggestion, but I did extract all the files in the Excel Rewrite Beta 3.zip and put them in c:Program Files (x86)Autoit3Include - Or I have to do something else? Moderators Melba23 Posted December 3, 2013 Moderators Share Posted December 3, 2013 Curious52,You need to download and install the current Beta version of AutoIt to use that UDF as it depends on certain new functions and syntax only used in that version. You can get it from here and you can install it over the last production version without problem. If you use the full SciTE4AutoIt3 package (and if not why not?) then you get a new set of menu options and shortcut keys to run either version - you can download it from here and it is well worth it as you get a load of additional utilities to help you code in Autoit. Curious52
Hi M23, After download and install with your links, my Autoit in Windows 7 doesn't work with the same script as before (version 3.3.6)! When try to run debug, it shows immediately a lot of errors. Since my project is in process, I was panic yesterday night & looking for re-installing the previous Autoit & Excel Rewrite. It was very hard to find the version 3.3.6 ... luckily, finally I found it later, however I couldn't find the previous Excel Rewrite! My project works again ... but I have to comment-out the Excel option I will search for another Windows 7 to try over (if I can find one), but meanwhile do you experienced some thing like my case (it was Beta version 3.3.9.x)?
