djturbolence
I'm a brand new member, been reading a ton of help files and reading up on examples, autoit so far looks amazing; looking forward to learning it. If anyone could put me in the right direction, I basically need it to refresh in google chrome until a link pops up, and click the link. Thats it for now really. I have a ton more other questions, but for now thats all I need. Also keep in mind, I won't know exactly the name of the link. I'll just know key words or something close to the Text given to the link. Thanks for reading this. Any help is appreciated.
Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted December 6, 2013 Moderators Share Posted December 6, 2013 Can you please explain a little more about what you're trying to do? You say you will only know key words of the link, can you give us an example of two or three of these? "Profanity is the last vestige of the feeble mind. djturbolence
Thanks for your reply and sure can. Basically if I was trying to get a watch that released online, since its a first come first served system, they will, at a specific time, update the site to show the watch. Then you have to click on it when it appears in a group of other watches. Since it can be time consuming to look through all the watches to find the one I'm looking for. An example would be something like HAMILTON MENS WATCH BOULTON ... Let me know if I'm not being all that clear. You have to keep refreshing the page until the watch appears. djturbolence
I'm pretty sure it is not against the EULA, I dont need to add to the cart, or check out or do anything crazy like that, I can almost hit refresh, then ctrl + F, to find for the keywords, and find the link quicker, but as you can imagine that'd take some time if I did it manually. water
I know nothing about Chrome so I can only offer a link to the >Chrome UDF. Most users here use IE or FF. jdelaney
The current chrome udf will not be able to find dynamic data, that I know of. It uses strings, saved to a text file (which represent the dom object), so it would be difficult to do loops to grab the proper link. _IE is easy to do those kinds of things, by looping through the DOM objects, directly. djturbolence
Aw I think I get what you are saying, I just recently read up on the Chrome UDF. Since it's still relatively new this might be a little too early.
