Curious52
I am able to to use Agilent Connection Expert tool by using Interative command to turn Agilent Power Supply ON & OFF (OUTPUT ON & OUTPUT OFF), however after searching Autoit forum I haven't found any discussed about how to use Visa.au3 to control Agilent equipment via LAN interface. Anyone can help?
jchd
You need to use a LAN <--> IEEE488 equipment. That or USB <--> IEEE488 or a iEEE488 PCI card. I've some of these, possibly for sale if you badly need one. This wonderful site allows debugging and testing regular expressions (many flavors available). Curious52
Hi MVP, I only need Autoit 's script codes, I was able to use VB to control all standard instruments before ... however, I am working with Autoit now!
jchd
Again, HP-IB can't be connected to a LAN. So if you already own such equipment you should be able to control your instrumentation bus with Visa interface. I don't know Agilent Connection Expert; all I've used is National Instrument drivers. jchd
Sure enough! Only hi-end electronic measurement equipment used the bus, sometimes named IEEE488, HP-IB, GPIB, instrument bus or some other pet name. VISA is the API for the protocol used over this bus. Curious52
Hi guy, I have found the solution and here it is: TCPStartup() Local $ConnectedSocket = TCPConnect($Module_IPaddress, $Module_port) If $ConnectedSocket = -1 Then ConsoleWrite("No connected") Exit EndIf TCPSend($ConnectedSocket, "OUTPUT ON" & @CRLF) sleep(2000); TCPCloseSocket( $ConnectedSocket ) TCPShutDown() Cheers
