Hi

My script will send text to notepad on hot key-Insert.

I want to send - Hello"{ENTER}"

My code:-

Send("Hello" & Chr(34) & "{ENTER}" & Chr(34) & @CRLF)

But it sends Hello""

I have checked related topics but all say that we dont know ENTER should work on which application. My requirement is simple, i just want to send this text to notepad and nothing else.

Please help.

saurabh2k26,

Do you want to sent the literal string 'Hello"{ENTER}"' or 'Hello' followed by an {ENTER} keypress?

; I see this
Hello"
"

Melba23 is on this thread and is much more knowledgeable than I am but I can't reproduce your result.

I used sleep(5000) before writing to notepad.

What language is your keyboard in?   I don't think Notepad is the issue.  Also, perhaps try {NUMPADENTER} as an alternative?  You should be able to send {ENTER} either way to Notepad.

OOPS.  I completely missed the issue. Sorry about that :>

saurabh2k26,

Then just use the "raw" flag to send the string as written and not interpreted: :)

Send('Hello"{ENTER}"', 1)
