FreeBeing
Hi, I try to use SciTEconfig with SciTe provided into AutoIt 3.3.10.0 but when I click on "Color Settings" the program tells me "Error: Variable used without being declared" and it close itself. Maybe a bug ? Thank you
Developers Jos Posted December 26, 2013 Developers Share Posted December 26, 2013 There is no SciTeConfig in the AutoIt3 installer since that comes with the SciTE4AutoIt3 installer. I do not have any issues, are you running the latest version available and if so, what is the exact error you get? FreeBeing
Sorry, my explainations were not enough accurate. In fact, I use SciTe provided into AutoIt 3.3.10.0 but I downloaded "SciteConfig.exe" from that link : http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/scite/download/SciteConfig.exe It's not correct ? Maybe I must use "SciteConfig" only with full "SciTE4AutoIt3" ?
FreeBeing
I have news : I tried to use the full "SciTE4AutoIt3" but I obtain the same problem.
Developers Jos Posted December 26, 2013 Developers Share Posted December 26, 2013 Have you used the installer to install the Full SciTE4Autoit3? Could you try to run sciteconfig.au3 from SciTE and see if that gives the same error and then give me the exact details of this error? FreeBeing
I used the ZIP file of full SciTe4AutoIt3. Also, I can't run SciTeConfig.au3 because it tells me an include is missing : #include "get_au3_registrysettings.au3"
guinness
I went to Tools >> SciTE Config (in SciTE) and selected the tab, no problem. I am running v1.6.11 of SciTE Config. Developers Jos Posted December 26, 2013 Developers Share Posted December 26, 2013 I used the ZIP file of full SciTe4AutoIt3. The consequence of using the ZIP version is that you are expected to understand how things work. I have updated the ZIP file to contain the missing files for SciTEConfig so you can try that again. FreeBeing
Now I obtain : Line 531 For $i = 1 To $SciTETools[0] For $i = 1 To ^ ERROR Error: Variable used without being declared. I tried with Windows 8 x64 and Vista x86.
Developers Jos Posted December 26, 2013 Developers Share Posted December 26, 2013 Guess you haven't stuck to the standard directory layout as provided in the ZIP file...right? The program should be able to cope with it but this error only occurs when not properly installed. Please use the installer to set things up properly or at least stick to the directory structure we standard use which is using the SciTE directory as subdir of AutoIt3. FreeBeing
It seems SciTEConfig works only with the full SciTE4AutoIt3 and only if he is into "AutoIt DirSciTESciTEConfig". Do you think it is possible to add a verification or a text file about that ? I admit I often prefer versions without installer, it's very useful and portable, and it's not always easy to find where to put the folder of that kind of software (SciTEConfig).
