somdcomputerguy
See http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/docs/functions/ProcessList.htm and http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/docs/functions/ProcessClose.htm. There is working example code for both of those functions.. - Bruce /*somdcomputerguy */ If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. Terenz
Sure, and maybe delete all the system files... Do you think is a legit request? Do you think someone help you to delete "all" the compiled autoit executable in the autoit forum? OMG Nothing is so strong as gentleness. trancexx
Why wouldn't it be legit question? It's his computer and he can delete everything he want's there (including system files). Here's an idea, install some super rigid anti virus program, it will delete them for you. ♡♡♡ . eMyvnE
Terenz
Because the script can be used in others pc = spyware-virus-malware or whatever you call it, i don't want to wake a a day and find all my autoit executable deleted... I can't find a reason to delete all the autoit .exe on a system, if you have one tell me and i'll change idea Rules: Malware of any form - trojan, virus, keylogger, spam tool, "joke/spoof" script, etc. Edited January 29, 2014 by Terenz Nothing is so strong as gentleness. trancexx
You should really learn to be more constructive. If you don't have something smart to say then don't say anything. If you fear for the legitimacy then report the thread and move on without making dumb comments. ♡♡♡ . eMyvnE

I need it for cleaning my pc. Im very messy and there is alot of autoit compiled scripts in C, D disc. I would spend hours by searching and deleting manually. Why I have so much autoit exes in my pc? Moderators Melba23 Posted January 29, 2014 Moderators Share Posted January 29, 2014 AntiFros,If the files have not been compressed then you should find the following string towards the end of the file: "This is a compiled AutoIt script"If the file has been compressed then it will have the string "UPX!" pretty close to the start of the file.So looking inside files for one of those key strings will tell you whether a file is (or is likely to be) a compiled AutoIt script. But it will not be a quick process! Moderators Melba23 Posted January 29, 2014 Moderators Share Posted January 29, 2014 Terenz,For once trancexx and I am completely in agreement - which certainly makes today worthy of marking in my diary. As you can see from my post above, identifying compiled AutoIt scripts has deliberately been made easy to try and prevent AV companies flagging them unnecessarily - not that it seems to be a great deal of help. So there is no real secret involved. AntiFros
Thanks Melba23. But in what ways I can get these strings? There is any funcs or something?
Moderators Melba23 Posted January 29, 2014 Moderators Share Posted January 29, 2014 AntiFros,I think guinness has a "FindTextInFile" (or something like that) function somewhere - go and search. Although personally I would use a proper file manager to do this as it would be significantly faster than doing it in AutoIt.
