Can an entry field be on top of a button?

Ideally, I'd like to have an entry field on top of button.  The button would allow the user to click next to the field to perform the corresponding function.  Clicking in the field would always activate the field for editing ... so the button would have to be solidly affixed to the background, with the field always a foreground object.

Here's a simple example of what I mean.  The creation order gives the right effect ... up until the first mouseover action.

#include <GuiConstantsEx.au3>
;
GuiCreate("Note and Button", 320, 310)
$Button = GUICtrlCreateButton("Button in Background", 8, 12, 280, 280)
$TextInput = GUICtrlCreateEdit("Text", 40, 40, 200, 60)
GUISetState()

While 1
    $msg = GuiGetMsg()
    If $msg = $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Then
        Exit
    EndIf
WEnd

Is this possible in some simple way?  And if the answer is "no", that's fine.  I'd just like to be certain before I discard the idea.

Thanks for any help or ideas.

qwert,

Put the edit into a child window like this: ;)

#include <GuiConstantsEx.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>

$hGUI = GuiCreate("Note and Button", 320, 310)
$Button = GUICtrlCreateButton("Button in Background", 8, 12, 280, 280)
GUISetState()

GUICreate("", 200, 50, 40, 40, $WS_POPUP, $WS_EX_MDICHILD, $hGUI)
$TextInput = GUICtrlCreateEdit("I stay visible!!!", 0, 0, 200, 60)
GUISetState()

While 1
    Switch GUIGetMsg()
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit
        Case $Button
            ConsoleWrite("Button pressed" & @CRLF)
    EndSwitch
WEnd
