Hello,

SciTe have strange bug that i don't know how to describe.

i made a video that show what is the bug. look:

 

i have  SciTe verison  3.3.6 ..

It's very annoying when I want to move to another area of the script

Yeah I've seen that in the editor for a while in very large scripts.

Seems to jump around a lot while using the scrollbar with mouse, can be annoying if trying to manually find something.

EDIT:

I would summize that it's a scite issue rather than scite4autoit though.

I believe Jos fixed this issue, though it removed functionality so he had to revert. It happens to me occasionally, but SciTE never crashes.

This is no a bug and reported regularly before.

It is the result of the LUA script that sets the Hscroll bar written by Valik.

When you don't like the Horizontal scrollbar to be automatically updated, just open SciTEStartup.lua and comment this line like this:

--LoadLuaFile("AutoHScroll.lua")

.. and never have any crashes with SciTE.

I did have a look to at AutoHScroll.lua to see if I could limit the effect of the appearing and disappearing Horizontal scrollbar causing the jitter.

Try this version of AutoHScroll.lua to see if that works better.

I've had this same issue for quite some time, I didn't even need to watch the video. Jos, replacing the default with the AutoHScroll.lua above seems to work fine! Thanks for that!

No crashes here either by the way.

But I think I found my solution. My solution is to not use SciTe.

I just found something much, much better:

Edit: That software uses a constant 15% of my CPU when tested before. Though I applaud the author, I still feel a text editor running in the background shouldn't use anything.
