C# If statement help

I've been all over the web looking for an answer but have found nothing yet. So I'm turning to the one code community I trust for help...

Please tell me why this produces an error after the ')' in the if statement if (MathJob=*)

Equality comparisons use "==" not "=", don't they?

I thought so as well but (MathJob==*) returns the same error
