cat1012000
What do the numbers mean on error messages? Where do I find something to explain them? Example --Programs Name-- (23,40) : WARNING: --some problem-- --Programs Name-- (30,45) : WARNING: --some problem-- --Programs Name-- (329,12) : WARNING: --some problem-- At first I thought it pointed me to the line of code that was improper, but I was wrong.. Is there somewhere that can help me fully understandng what the messages say?
jdelaney
Generally, the first number is the line, the second number is the Character on the line where the error starts. IEbyXPATH-Grab IE DOM objects by XPATH IEscriptRecord-Makings of an IE script recorder ExcelFromXML-Create Excel docs without excel installed GetAllWindowControls-Output all control data on a given window. BrewManNH
If the script has been compiled, which isn't necessary if you're just testing it, the line numbers and the script don't have anything to do with each other. This is usually because the script will have #includes added into them as well as other factors. Run the script from the editor without compiling and you might be able to get an idea where the errors are really occurring in your script.
