fabiano
ActivateWindow apparently doesn't work if you are in a remote session and then minimizes the Remote Desktop Connection window. I've written a script that sends an {ENTER} command for windows titled "Succeeded" and "Error". This script runs on a remote server. If I have the remote server RDC window open, the AutoIt script works wonderfully. However, if I minimize the RDC window, the script seem unable to work. The script is as follows: $var = 1 $title_succeeded = "Succeeded" $title_error = "Error" Do If WinExists($title_succeeded) Then Local $hWnd = WinWait($title_succeeded, "") WinActivate($hWnd) WinWaitActive($title_succeeded) Send("{ENTER}") WinClose($title_succeeded) Endif If WinExists($title_error) Then Local $hWnd = WinWait($title_error, "") WinActivate($hWnd) WinWaitActive($title_error) Send("{ENTER}") WinClose($title_error) Endif Until $var = 0 Is this the intended behavior for ActivateWindow? How can I automatize the action of closing windows titled "Succeeded" and "Error" without having to have the Remote Desktop Connection window open? Any help is appreciated, thank you! BrewManNH
Use ControlSend instead of Send and see if that works. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. Solution fabiano Posted February 21, 2014 Author Solution Share Posted February 21, 2014 I changed the script a little bit, and used ControlSend instead of Send: $var = 1 $title_succeeded = "Succeeded" $title_error = "Error" Do If WinExists($title_succeeded) Then Local $hWnd = WinWait($title_succeeded, "") WinActivate($hWnd) ControlSend($title_succeeded, "", "Button", "{ENTER}") WinClose($title_succeeded) Endif If WinExists($title_error) Then Local $hWnd = WinWait($title_error, "") WinActivate($hWnd) ControlSend($title_error, "", "Button", "{ENTER}") WinClose($title_error) Endif Until $var = 0 Now it seems to be working. Thank you very much!
