Good Morning.

I am working on a app that a user can input a value and when Notepad is idle for the set value, the user is notified (MsgBox) and then NotePad is closed. So far when I have notepad open and I set the value in the input box and press the 'set' button it immediately pops the MsgBox and when so when I close the msgbox notepad closes. What I am trying to do is have the value in the input box be value that notepad has to be idle for more than, in order to display the message box, and close notepad, however is notepad becomes in use before the idle time reaches the value in the input box then I want to reset the timer. Any help would be appreciated.  :huh2:

Don't use _Timer_GetIdleTime as that has nothing to do with the applications, it's a system timer. You're going to need to use TimerInit and TimerDiff to determine when "notepad" is sitting idle. Also look at AdLibRegister instead of using a button to start the timers.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.
