Replacing a char into a string with "nothing" doesn´t work as expected in case of "character position" instead of "substring"

$input = "ABCDEFG"
$output = StringReplace($input, "D", "X") ;replaces "D" with "X" , works
ConsoleWrite('@@ Debug(' & @ScriptLineNumber & ') : $output = ' & $output & @CRLF & '>Error code: ' & @error & @CRLF) ;### Debug Console
$output = StringReplace($input, 4  , "X") ;replaces "D"(4th char) with "X" , works
ConsoleWrite('@@ Debug(' & @ScriptLineNumber & ') : $output = ' & $output & @CRLF & '>Error code: ' & @error & @CRLF) ;### Debug Console

For those who didn't get it.

Local $sString = "ABCDEFG"
Local $sOutput = StringReplace($sString, 4, "") ; 4th chr (D) isn't removed.
ConsoleWrite('@@ Debug(' & @ScriptLineNumber & ') : Output = ' & $sOutput & @CRLF & '> Extended code: ' & @extended & @CRLF)

$sOutput = StringReplace($sString, 4, "X") ; Now it works, though @extended isn't set.
ConsoleWrite('@@ Debug(' & @ScriptLineNumber & ') : Output = ' & $sOutput & @CRLF & '> Extended code: ' & @extended & @CRLF)

Incidentally there is an other bug : when using "character position" StringReplace returns a wrong @extended value even when working

$sString = "abcde"

$res = StringReplace($sString, "c", "#")
Msgbox(0,"", $res & @crlf & @extended)  ; returns @extended = 1

$res = StringReplace($sString, 3, "#")   ; returns @extended = 0 (expected 1)
Msgbox(0,"", $res & @crlf & @extended)
