cascius
Hi guys, I can't find an answer to this question in the forums, but I'm pretty sure I've seen a similar topic before. So basically I'm trying to find songs within a playlist file, reading each line and doing one or multiple stringinstr is not a problem. My problem is that the song spelling can be slightly off, and therefore I don't have a match. For example: String 1: "The beatles - A Hard Day’s Night" String 2: "The beattles - A Hard Days Night" As you can see "beatles" & "beattles" and "day's" & "Days" wouldn't match with regular stringinstr search. Therefore I'm trying to figure out if there's any way to do phonetic string comparison in Autoit. I appreciate in advance any sort of help you can provide. Thanks, - Cascius
abberration
I have not tried the UDFs in the links below, but the concepts sound similar to what you are looking for. Hopefully, they will point you in the right direction.
