_Singleton and _MutexExists don't work

Hello.

I can't make example scripts from FAQ to work.

I've tested on .au3 and compilled .exe, using stable  3.3.10.2 and beta 3.3.11.3, x86 and x64 versions on W7 x64, it still allowes multiple instances to start.

Can someone please help?

Yes, I have. Without closing first message, start another instance of the script shows again exact same message

Did you try closing the first message box as instructed? Because the script in the FAQ works for me.

_Singleton doesn't prohibit a second instance to be started. It allows your script to check for an already running instance. If there is already a running instance you can exit the second instance.

Not sure where it's instructed, in the help file example if you close first message box, the whole script finishes, making second instance impossible without the first instance

Regardless, it's user's task to do whatever. The fact is, none of the examples worked for me. I don't get a message saying there is already one instance running.

I didn't mention the help file example, I mentioned the FAQ script.

The FAQ script runs indefinitely (same message shows and not error message) and impossible to close, killing from task manager required.

Compiling and running two instances of the script from the help file I get two messages.

So it works as designed.

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit, AutoIt 3.3.10.2

Wonder why it doesn't on my computer...

32bit compile?

What about just running .au3 from explorer or SciTE, still works?

If I right click the .au3 file in Explorer and select run and do it two times I get the same messages as above.

But again: I don't use the script from the FAQ, I run the example from the help file.

I just tested compiled help file example on a virtual W7 x64 and it works there. Now I'm really curious, what could possible cause this?
