An (Shift) Hotkey problem

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

So my problem is for all scripts, when i do an HotSetKey with Shift + D, and that it seem to write an phrase like "Abracadabra", it write Abraca and redo the function again.

So i get AbracaAbracaAbracaAbraca...

I don't know if it's a keyboard bug or somethings else but it's like if i press Shift.

Is there anyways to fix this?

You may be typing your hot key wrong it should be

Hotkeyset("{LSHIFT}","Function name") - that will set the hotkey to the left shift button for right just use RSHIFT

That won't work, you can't set a modifier key to a hotkey. You have to use a modifier with another key for it to work.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

It's not the function that no work, it just that the program thinks that i press shift (or somethings like that).

Disable the HotKey as you enter the function, reenable it as you leave the function, that way your hotkey and the send won't interfere with each other. Although, if I were you I wouldn't use SHIFT + 1 I'd use the exclamation point inside curly braces "{!}".
