What's the best way to clear the data before entering new?

If $T1Edit2 is an edit control, simply removing the final parameter will replace all the content with the new data:

#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>

$sData = "Will this be appended or will it replace the current data?"

$hGUI = GUICreate("Test", 500, 500)

$cEdit = GUICtrlCreateEdit("", 10, 10, 480, 200)

GUISetState()

GUICtrlSetData($cEdit, $sData & @CRLF)

Sleep(1000)

GUICtrlSetData($cEdit, $sData, 1) ; Append

Sleep(1000)

GUICtrlSetData($cEdit, $sData) ; Replace
