How to run the CMD command script in the background?

Hi all,

I found many forums regarding running the cmd script in the background, and none of them resolved my issue so far.

I am trying to run the VNC server on my computer to connect to the VNC viewer. The following script works perfectly fine. I just want to do the following script in the background so that I do not need to watch "CMD window pops up, and all commands are typed".

Any suggestion?

; Starting VNC Server and
; Making connecting to the VNC Viewer
; on the Windows COMMAND line

Run ("cmd.exe")

;Wait cmd to be opend
WinWaitActive("C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe")

;change directory to the .\TightVNC
Send ('cd c:\Program Files\TightVNC' & "{ENTER}")

;Run the TightVNC Server
Send ('tvnserver.exe -run' & "{ENTER}")

;Connect to the RPiShare
Send ('tvnserver.exe -controlapp -connect 192.160.1.1::5500' & "{ENTER}")

;Close the cmd window
WinClose ("C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe")

ShellExecute('tvnserver.exe", "-controlapp -connect 192.160.1.1::5500')

Will probably be much better than your entire script. Or if tvnserver needs to be running first, you can use the same command to run the "tvnserver.exe" with the -run in the second parameter first.

See if that works for you.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

taejin324,

Welcome to the Autoit forum. :)

But please pay attention to where you post - the "Dev Chat" section where you started this thread is not for general support questions. I have moved it for you, but would ask you to be more careful in future. ;)
