SciTE fails all the times

Recommended Posts

When I'm a running a script from scite by pressing F5 the following log appears in the console:

>"D:\Program Files\AutoIt3\SciTE\AutoIt3Wrapper\AutoIt3Wrapper.exe" /run /prod /ErrorStdOut /in "C:\Users\Unknown User\Desktop\AutoIT 3\Coolmem\Coolmem.au3" /UserParams
+>22:12:02 Starting AutoIt3Wrapper v.2.2.0.0 SciTE v.3.4.1.0   Keyboard:0000040E  OS:WIN_81/  CPU:X64 OS:X64    Environment(Language:0409)
+>         SciTEDir => D:\Program Files\AutoIt3\SciTE   UserDir => C:\Users\Unknown User\AppData\Local\AutoIt v3\SciTE\AutoIt3Wrapper   SCITE_USERHOME => C:\Users\Unknown User\AppData\Local\AutoIt v3\SciTE
>Running AU3Check (3.3.10.2)  from:D:\Program Files\AutoIt3  input:C:\Users\Unknown User\Desktop\AutoIT 3\Coolmem\Coolmem.au3
+>22:12:02 AU3Check ended.rc:0
>Running:(3.3.10.2):D:\Program Files\AutoIt3\autoit3.exe "C:\Users\Unknown User\Desktop\AutoIT 3\Coolmem\Coolmem.au3"
--> Press Ctrl+Alt+F5 to Restart or Ctrl+Break to Stop
+>22:12:03 AutoIt3.exe ended.rc:0
+>22:12:03 AutoIt3Wrapper Finished.
>Exit code: 0    Time: 1.537

AutoIt3 theoritically stops after 1.5sec. The truth is that the script is still running despite what the console says. It doesn't even report errors, so it makes "debugging" really, really hard. Could anyone help with any ideas? I tried to reinstall (overwrite) both AutoIt & SciTE too.

You can't use consolewrite and #RequireAdmin in the same script in SciTE.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

I hereby grant any person the right to use any code I post, that I am the original author of, on the autoitscript.com forums, unless I've specifically stated otherwise in the code or the thread post. If you do use my code all I ask, as a courtesy, is to make note of where you got it from.

Back up and restore Windows user files _Array.au3 - Modified array functions that include support for 2D arrays.  -  ColorChooser - An add-on for SciTE that pops up a color dialog so you can select and paste a color code into a script.  -  Customizable Splashscreen GUI w/Progress Bar - Create a custom "splash screen" GUI with a progress bar and custom label.  -  _FileGetProperty - Retrieve the properties of a file  -  SciTE Toolbar - A toolbar demo for use with the SciTE editor  -  GUIRegisterMsg demo - Demo script to show how to use the Windows messages to interact with controls and your GUI.  -   Latin Square password generator

I'm not writing to console, however it's interesting. I will try to do it without #RequireAdmin. After that I will try to add scite.exe to auto-admin user.

Edit: Got it. Added to auto-admin, and it works now. Thanks!

Yes, but when I right click and edit a script, I've got no chance to run as admin :)

You do when you set SciTE to always run as Adminitrator. ;)

Guess you understand your options now ....
