Using the OLE/COM Object viewer, I open Controls key and try to open Windows Media Player and I get this error: CoGetClassObject failed. The specified module could not be found severity: SEVERITY_ERROR: FACILITY_WIN32 ($8007007E) Anybody know why? How to fix/repair it? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
AndrewG Posted May 1, 2014 Author Share Posted May 1, 2014 So in trying to solve this, I Wrote a script to put Windows Media Player in a GUI. (WMPlayer.OCX) Works in XP fails in Vista. Looking at the Autoit helpfile I decided to add the Com Error Handling function shown. I get this result in WIndows Vista: We intercepted a COM Error !
