Knowing Which Tab Is Used?

Recommended Posts

Let's say you have a GUI with a Tab control in it, is there a way to know when someone clicks on one and or which one is active?

Not quite sure what else to search for, tried various search methods and couldn't find any documentation.

Tried GuiCtrlOnEvent commands but that didn't seem to work.

THanks!

When you click on a tab then the Control created by GUICtrlCreateTab is being triggered.

Global $hTab = GUICtrlCreateTab(...
...
    $iMsg = GUIGetMsg()
    Switch $iMsg
        Case $hTab
            $iCurrTab = GUICtrlRead($hTab) ; Get the number of the current tab
....

Damein,

The parent Tab control fires an event when a tabitem is clicked:

#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <MsgBoxConstants.au3>

$hGUI = GUICreate("Test", 500, 500)

$cTab = GUICtrlCreateTab(10, 10, 200, 200)

$cTab_0 = GUICtrlCreateTabItem("0")
$cTab_1 = GUICtrlCreateTabItem("1")
$cTab_2 = GUICtrlCreateTabItem("2")
GUICtrlCreateTabItem("")

GUISetState()

While 1

    Switch GUIGetMsg()
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit
        Case $cTab
            MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "Clicked", GUICtrlRead($cTab))
    EndSwitch

WEnd
All clear? :)
