jack71
I want to MD5 all the files listed on the desktop, in order to find an exe file that could have multiple names. I will loop through the $aMD5List and compare it to the MD5 i'm searching for but for now I can't get this to work: local $aDesktopFiles = _FileListToArray(@DesktopDir, "*") For $A = 1 to $aDesktopFiles[0] local $aMD5LIST = _Crypt_HashFile(@DesktopDir & $ADesktopFiles[$A], $CALG_MD5) Next _ArrayDisplay($aMD5List)

jack71
I can follow most of your example but I think it is maybe more than I need? First since I'm only looking for exe's: local $aDesktopFiles = _FileListToArray(@DesktopDir, "*exe") Second, just MD5 check those EXEs. Third, loop through and compare MD5s of the array of exe's found above to the target EXE's MD5. Fourth, once a match is found get the name and path of file.
