Read comamnd prompt output and displaying User Interface

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

Creating a small tool with autoit which will fetch the values displayed in the command prompt and display in an User Interface.

I run the below command in Command prompt,

Corflags.exe "MyApplication.exe"

Output:

Microsoft ® .NET Framework CorFlags Conversion Tool.  Version  3.5.30729.1
Copyright © Microsoft Corporation.  All rights reserved.

Version   : v2.0.50727
CLR Header: 2.5
PE        : PE32
CorFlags  : 11
ILONLY    : 1
32BIT     : 1
Signed    : 1

I want to read the value of CLR Header, 32BIT, PE in the command prompt and want to display in a Text box in my front end.
How do i fetch the values ?
Please assist.

Cheers,

Look at the Run command in the help file and look at the examples using StdOut.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

BrewManNH,

I have seen the stdOut under help. I got few example code, but am lost how to fit in my requirement in it.

My requirement: want to run the below in command prompt.

"C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft SDKsWindowsv7.0ABinCorflags.exe" "C:tempMyapplication.exe"

want to write and display only few of the output command.

My example script:

#include <Constants.au3>

Local $foo = Run("sort.exe", @SystemDir, @SW_HIDE, $STDIN_CHILD + $STDOUT_CHILD)

StdinWrite($foo, "rat" & @CRLF & "cat" & @CRLF & "bat" & @CRLF)

StdinWrite($foo)

; Read from child's STDOUT and show
Local $data
While True
    $data &= StdoutRead($foo)
    If @error Then ExitLoop
    Sleep(25)
WEnd
MsgBox(0, "Debug", $data)

Am confused to fit my requirement in it.

Cheers

Try something like this :

#include <Constants.au3>

$iPid = Run('C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.0A\Bin\Corflags.exe" "C:\temp\Myapplication.exe"',  'C:\temp' , "", $STDOUT_CHILD )
ProcessWaitClose($iPid)

$sOUtput = StdoutRead($iPid)

MsgBox(0, "", $sOutput)
