wklw2010
Hello I am trying to copy some AutoCAD drawing from my C drive to a project folder in ProjectWise. I can get to the ProjectWIse folder to open using the command below... ShellExecute("pw:\\Server:DataSource\Documents\111111\1WIP\PI\Design_Basis_Inputs\") I move the files now using the old Drag and drop! I tried the Filecopy command but nothing is copying, I am not sure of the syntex to copy to the projectwise project folder. FileCopy("C:\Users\username\Desktop\Examples.zip", "pw:\\server:datasource\Documents\111111\1WIP\PI\Design_Basis_Inputs\Examples.zip") My end goal is to create a folder watcher that watchs the folder and once the dwg is created, it would then copy to the ProjectWise project folder. Thank you very much for any help. Edited May 21, 2014 by wklw2010
BrewManNH
what is pw:server:? Is that supposed to be a drive, a network drive, or something else? If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. BrewManNH
So, it's not a destination folder or drive. So filecopy can't copy to it. Use a folder path to copy the files to, not a command to run the software. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. BrewManNH
FileCopy("C:\Users\username\Desktop\Examples.zip", "\\server\datasource\Documents\111111\1WIP\PI\Design_Basis_Inputs\Examples.zip") I can't be sure this is the right path to the folder on your server, I'm guessing going by what you posted. but that should get you pointed in at least the right direction.
