computergroove
PixelGetColor is going to return a 6 digit value with letters and sometimes numbers. Is there a way to say: 1. Get color at pixel location 2. If Color is < (hex color) then do x 3. Else do this Can I convert the hex value in a useful way to be able to compare brightness? I need something more than If pixel color = this then do this, else do this. BrewManNH
Its just a number, the fact that it might be in hex is immaterial as you can easily read it as decimal, octal or any other base you'd like. Compare it like any other number. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. Malkey
Black (0x000000) would be the least bright and white (0xFFFFFF) is the brightest. By adding the three colour channels (RGB) the degree of brightness can be calculated. Local $color = 0xA01586 Local $iBrightness = Execute(StringRegExpReplace(Hex($color, 6), "(..)(..)(..)", "0x\1 + 0x\2 + 0x\3")) ConsoleWrite($iBrightness & @LF)
