_FileReadToArray not read full array

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have a little problem.
I a. Txt file that contains an array, fomato by a series of 90,000 pairs of entries (eg. 125887 | 56985).
So, if I'm going to see the filelo by an editor I see nancy.
But if I load it and see it with the following program:

#include <array.au3>
#include <GuiListView.au3>
#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>
#include <File.au3>
Dim $indice_art [90000]
$Percorso ="C:\AutoIt\Progetti\Prove\Indicizzazione"

;_FileReadToArray ($percorso & "\INDICE_ART.TXT",$indice_art)
$indice_art=FileReadToArray($percorso & "\INDICE_ART.TXT")
_ArrayDisplay ($indice_art,"minni")

I see only a part, I see precisely shown by Arraydisplay only 65524 rows of data.
Why do you think?
As you can see I tried hard with all the kind of FilereadToArray, but the result does not change.
I proveto also to increase the size of the variable (from 90,000 to 95,000), thinking that there was more data on the file array but it did not do anything.

Who would be so kind as to help me.

Thanks

Alberto

Thank You

Alberto

trescon,

The problem is caused by _ArrayDisplay - each line is a control and you can only have 64k controls in an AutoIt GUI which (minus a few for the buttons etc) lets you have that many lines. If you test the array with UBound you should find that the whole file has been read, it is just that you cannot display it all in one go. :(

But you can use the $sArrayRange parameter to display the entire array in several sections. ;)

Or build your own display instead of using the debugging function (_ArrayDisplay), it's not meant to be used as a GUI front end to a script but should only be used for debugging.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.
