I have made one other change and uploaded it.

I can't get this one to fail any more when typing test in an new au3 script and leaving the caret at any of the possible positions.

Let me know when you are still able to crash it and what you did.

Unfortunately I'm still seeing a crash, but I haven't been able to identify the exact steps. It seems to be related to pressing the hotkey while there is a keyword popup visible.

Tooday I had a strange message in console.

But now I can't reproduce it again in my environment.

In console I saw something like "malformed pattern"

it was related to AutoItIndentFix.lua

 

EDIT:
WOW.......

I just discovered something that previously was not known to me.
In the console function keys CTRL + Z and Ctrl + Y as in a normal editor.

Therefore, I was able to recover the full contents of the message.

While debugging this again, I found another option to make it crash.

When the caret was on the last character on any line it would also cause an issue, so have now implemented a different check to avoid this.

See if the current Beta is also better for you.

Correct, the outputpane also has the Undo - redo functionality.

Could you PM me your AutoItIndentFix.lua as I don't see much wrong with line 116 at the moment and want to make sure we are looking at the same version?

We are looking at the same file so that can't be the issue.

Not sure how you can get into that condition, but maybe you had text active with a squarebracket in it?

It would help when you find a way to replicate this and then try the current Beta version to see if that fixes it.

Did you restart SciTE after you had the above LUA errors?

You need to because it could very well be that the Undo gets confused since it never received a proper editor:EndUndoAction()

I was able to replicate your error when typing a [ and putting the caret in front of it and then pressing Return.

The Beta AutoItIndentFix.lua doesn't have the error so it seems I guessed right.

Can't get it to fail yet with the latest available version in Beta.

Are you sure you using the latest version that has the added ", nil, true" parameters for all 4 string.find() occurrences?

The lua function was rewritten for the last release.

Else will go to the same level as its parent line.

Does the "of" line have a fold symbol at the left?

If not then it isn't considered the parent of the else line and hence the behavior you see.
