Download from site and execute but...

Recommended Posts

Hi. I prepared sample direct download link and execute and delete vs vs... with GUI. Sample:

#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <StaticConstants.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>
Local $hGUI = GUICreate("İndirici", 230, 250)
FileInstall ( "a.jpg", @ScriptDir &"a.jpg" )
GUICtrlCreatePic(@ScriptDir &"a.jpg", 9, 5, 212, 68)
Local $idClose = GUICtrlCreateButton("KAPAT", 85, 200, 60, 25)
Local $idPDF = GUICtrlCreateButton("Adobe PDF", 9, 170, 105, 25)
GUISetState(@SW_SHOW, $hGUI)
Local $iPID = 0
While 1
Switch GUIGetMsg()
Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE, $idClose
ExitLoop
Case $idPDF
$Directory = @DesktopDir & "AdbeRdr11000_tr_TR.exe"
InetGet($UrlDownloader, $Directory ,0 ,1)
Run($Directory)
ProcessWaitClose("AdbeRdr11000_tr_TR.exe")
FileDelete(@DesktopDir & "AdbeRdr11000_tr_TR.exe")
EndSwitch
WEnd

It's just a sample. I have bigger codes but my point is; link is direct downloadable and 10 days later or 45 days later still downloaded file will be "AdbeRdr11000_tr_TR.exe".(unless link dies)

My question is, if I have direct downloadable but filename changable links, what can I do for automatic background download?

For example: Firefox always updateable and download link is same but filename changes.(for update of course)

 https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-stub&os=win&lang=tr

When I click this link, I downloaded file "Firefox Setup Stub 29.0.1.exe". When firefox has new update, link will be same but file name will change. Like "Firefox Setup Stub 30.exe or 35 whatever..."

Let's say I wrote code for "Firefox Setup Stub 29.0.1.exe" and compiled to exe, but when I try 30 days later link will download another filename so my code won't work. Because my code will want "Firefox Setup Stub 29.0.1.exe" but link has "Firefox Setup Stub 30.exe" or newer.

How can I wrote code for changeable filename, not fixed filename? I don't want to frequently change my code for downloading firefox or similar downloads. Help me please.

Sorry for my bad english.

You can use InetGet on the link itself, for example if you use

INetGett firefoxfirefoxou posted it will download the setup file no matter the name.

P.S: Please use the code tags next time, it will make your code more readable to everyone else and help in understanding the code.
