jchd
What is the purpose and how does that differ from binary I/O operations? This wonderful site allows debugging and testing regular expressions (many flavors available). An absolute must have in your bookmarks.Another excellent RegExp tutorial. Don't forget downloading your copy of up-to-date pcretest.exe and pcregrep.exe hereRegExp tutorial: enough to get startedPCRE v8.33 regexp documentation latest available release and currently implemented in AutoIt beta. jchd
I get that but why not simply use binary read/write built-in functions? Moriba
A file can be read as binary (byte) data by using FileOpen() with the binary flag - in this case count is in bytes rather than characters. A count value that is too large can lead to AutoIt stopping with a memory allocation failure.
jchd
Fine, but how does that differ from allocating a byte array to DllCall?
