Read which input box is focused?

Can't really think of the proper term to use here nor search for so I thought I'd just ask.. sorry.

I would like to be able to find out when someone clicks into an input field.

Pretty simple, just not quite sure what to look into it.. it just needs to be able to detect when someone clicks in an input field.

Here is a very simple way
