I need something to do with AutoIt, which I would have solved in Java in some seconds but I am failing in doing it in AutoIt since quite a long time: I simply want to check if a file was modified in the past minute or not. My not working code: #include <Date.au3> #include <WinAPI.au3> ; Read file times $hFile = _WinAPI_CreateFile(@ScriptDir & "\log.csv", 2) If $hFile = 0 Then _WinAPI_ShowError("Unable to open file") $aTime = _Date_Time_GetFileTime($hFile) _WinAPI_CloseHandle($hFile) If (_Date_Time_GetLocalTime() - 60000) > $aTime[2] Then MsgBox(0,"","file older than a minute") Else MsgBox(0,"","file modified in past minute") EndIf I dont know how to subtract the 60 seconds and how to compare these two times. But honestly I think it is a pitty that AutoIt does not really provide good timestamp handling as Java does - it would be much more easy and elegant to handle such things. But maybe I am just biased. Two usability issues, I want to voice: .) I was not able to copy the code from your post into the clipboard without loosing all the line breaks. Am I doing something wrong? .) This is a known issue with FireFox and this forum software. There have been posts about this before, you might find a workaround for it. I don't use FireFox so I can't help with that.
