Auto42
Hi, I have seen this other colour forum-thread right under this one. But my question does not stick to labels so I started a new thread. I would like to know if its possible to use two text-colours in one GUI-Edit handle? I know there exists something like GUICtrlSetColour(....) but this would change the color of the complete Edit handle. In my case I use the Edit as output console and it would be nice to color "successfull outputs" e.g. in green and "failed outputs" in e.g. red. Second color issue: Is it possible to change the background colour of GUICtrlSetTip? I like (or maybe I am just used to) the standard windows light yellow tool-tips. Or is this tip colour already color "protected" by Microsoft? Auto42
Moderators Solution Melba23 Posted July 5, 2014 Moderators Solution Share Posted July 5, 2014 Auto42, possible to use two text-colours in one GUI-Edit handleNot as far as I know - you would need to use a RichEdit control. AutoIt has a good RichEdit UDF - look in the Help file. possible to change the background colour of GUICtrlSetTipAgain, not as far as I know. But do not lose hope - you never know what can pop up when you ask. BrewManNH
If you want colored Tooltips you should use the ToolTip UDF. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
