Srex,

Just create the GUI without the $WS_SIZEBOX style - the default setting does not include this style so you must be adding it in your GUICreate line. Post the line in question if you still have problems. :)

Srex,

No, you were perfectly clear. :)

This GUI cannot be resized:

#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>

$hGUI = GUICreate("Test", 500, 500)
GUISetState()

While 1
    Switch GUIGetMsg()
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit
    EndSwitch
WEnd
So if yours can be resized, you are adding styles to make it so. As I asked before - please post the GUICreate line from your script so we can se what you are doing. ;)

This topic struck me as interesting, because the whole time I had problems with Maximizebox.
Today I was determined to find the cause.
it turned out that I used $WS_TABSTOP.
And as it turns out $WS_TABSTOP == $WS_MAXIMIZEBOX

mLipok,

Although the values of $WS_TABSTOP & $WS_MAXIMIZEBOX are the same there should not be any confusion: :)

- $WS_TABSTOP is used on controls within a GUI to allow the {TAB} key to move focus to the control.

- $WS_MAXIMIZEBOX is used on the GUI itself.

There are many Windows constants which have similar values - hardly surprising seeing the number of them. :)

A good example are the $LVS_EX_* styles, many of which share values with $WS_EX_* styles. This is why you should always use _GUICtrlListView_SetExtendedListViewStyle to set them, rather then add the extended styles to the _GUICtrlListView_Create function where they are interpreted as the $WS_EX_* values. ;)

Thanks for the explanation now clearly see the difference in the method of use.

I had one old script, it's probably good time to analyze, and write it again.

Cheers.
